CWahi communities and content will be member dictated - we want to know what YOU want, and what YOU like, and if it works well on the site, and it's legal and possible to do, we're going to get it up there for you. It's as simple as that. This isn't a website and community for US, it's a place for YOU!

Yes, CWahi web hosting is supported by ad revenue, which means banner ads and/or text links on member pages. But quite unlike other free webhosts, we give YOU the option of where you'd like the ads to be placed, which means you have the opportunity to work with it rather than against or in spite of it. We can't remove the ads, as much as we would like to, because if we did there would be no way to support the services you're relying on. So we can happily work together, to make the ads as unobtrusive as possible.

Initially, you will only have a few location and type choices, but as we grow and get your feedback and assess our growth, more and more options will open up to you. We want to find that ideal balance between earning enough revenue to provide a top-notch service, support charities and limiting the amount of ads that are shown to a reasonable level.

At launch, we had ads placed on members pages which where customizeable in placement. After analzying traffic, growth and revenue, it became apparent we simply did not need the ads on your pages! The amount of revenue they produced, relative to other means, simply was not worth the ill will they create.

So, just like in 1997 when we were young and idealistic - we have removed ads on members pages! This time we know our revenues are sufficient. All that remains on the user pages is a thin text bar at the top of sites to prevent phishers/abusers from hiding the true service name, point people back to CWahi (the more we grow the more we can give), and other features that we are working on (including the ability to REMOVE that bar!

Also, the services that we provide will be directed by YOU. We have set up forums for precisely this goal - a place for you to discuss, collaborate and interact with us.

Yes, unlike many faceless corporations, the staff at CWahi love to interact with you. Sometimes we get busy but we always come back and find out what it is that you want. Your likes, your dislikes and respond to them.
